This workshop, sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Film Studies Department, will focus on story development and how to pitch it successfully.

Hollywood is driven on creative content and always searching for the next great story. You have a great idea and a screenplay that you are confident and passionate about. Now what? How do you convince Producers, Directors, and Executives to invest in your film? Learning about pitch session procedures and understanding how to market you and your script is a critical part of the filmmaking process. Just when you thought the hard part was over, having already created story arcs, themes, and characterization, here comes “THE PITCH.”

Our five semi-finalists will be announced and invited to pitch their revised screenplays to a panel that features:

  • Jamie Widdoes, Actor, "Animal House,"  Director "Two and a Half Men"
