2011 Semi-Finalists

Below are the 6 semi-finalists and their scripts selected by our judges to move on to "The Producer's Pitch" phase of the 2011 Film Factory competition. These semi-finalists pitch their production plans to a truly stellar panel of Hollywood Producers (John Dellaverson, Bernie Goldmann, and Chris Moore) on March 26th 2011 at Point Park University, where the 3 finalists will be chosen to move onto the final stage at our April 30th event at CMU.

Flour Baby
Synopsis: When Callie is forced to participate in a 'flour baby' project (an assignment requiring students to care for a baby doll attached to a sack of flour as a means of deterring them from having premarital sex) at her Catholic high school, she comes face to face with the ghost of her unborn child.

The Rest Of Our Lives
Synopsis: Agnes and Stanley are neighbors whose personalities are like oil and water. But, they have one thing in common. After losing their children to adulthood and then losing their respective partners, they have to decide what to do with the rest of their lives.

First Kiss
Synopsis: Adam Schoenberger, aspiring poet and general romantic, suffers the agony of anticipation for his first kiss.

Swan Song
Synopsis: An office temp leading a mundane life crosses paths with a charming composer claiming an impossible affliction - he's magically cursed and she'll forget they ever met if they part.

Peter McKay
Long Lunch
Synopsis: A Man and a Woman meet in downtown Pittsburgh on their lunch hours and have a quick fling, with surprising results.
